About Us
Since 1993, Carpet Gear has been designing and developing ergonomic tools for the contruction trades.
Our ergonomic hand tools and knee pads have been designed for the Installer, by our founder, John Martin, a seasoned Installer with over 40 years in the trades. After decades in the flooring trade it had become increasingly evident that a re-design of the present flooring trowel,
was not only important, but necessary. Our redesigned Ergonomic Adjustable Trowel has the improved ability to deliver more efficiency, greater reach, increased ease of use and less self destructive application to the installer, thereby decreasing future incidents of work related injuries. Over the years, Mr. Martin has designed, developed, and patented six major tools that have been manufactured and distributed with these same common goals in mind. To increase efficiency while decreasing incidence of long standing potential injury. As a member of the flooring trade Mr. Martin believes the new design is instrumental in moving the industry to a greater level of expertise and efficiency.
